Our marvelous Executive Chef Margaret Chisholm is retiring in December after twenty years of inspiring our kitchen team. Chef Margaret will be moving on to new ventures involving her passion for the Vancouver food scene, offering consulting services for menu and systems development and pursuing her love of food photography. She also plans to use her new found leisure time continuing to explore BC and the North which will include hiking, biking, canoeing and relaxing at her cabin.
“Chef Margaret has been an integral part of the success of our company and helped to forge our international reputation in the catering industry” says President and CEO Debra Lykkemark. She was the recipient of the Chef of the Year from the International Caterers Association in 2011 as acknowledgement from her peers for excellence.
Introducing our new Executive Chef Stewart Boyles
Executive Chef Stewart Boyles developed his culinary skill set in top global restaurants. He was Chef de Partie for highly regarded British chef Martin Wishart at his Michelin starred restaurant in Edinburgh prior to being chosen as Chef de Cuisine for his new restaurant at Loch Lomond. With Stewart in charge of the kitchen the new venture was also awarded a Michelin Star. Prior to joining our team he was the Chef de Cuisine at Hawksworth.
“I am very excited to join Vancouver’s most sought after catering company, which has such a rich history in this city” describes how Chef Stewart feels about his new position. His philosophy is that food should be approachable, seasonal and full of flavour.
After an exhaustive search, we are delighted to welcome Chef Stewart to our kitchens and our extended family at Culinary Capers, and we are confident that he has the talent and the drive to continue our constant quest to produce the very best catered food and high quality service.
