The Summer Gala is the most important fundraising event of the year for the Vancouver Art Gallery. Culinary Capers Catering was honoured to win the bid to cater this amazing event.
Proceeds from the evening support future exhibitions, education outreach and public programs at the gallery. Over $750,000 was raised for these initiatives.
The work of artist Alberto Giacometti, renowned in the twentieth century for his sculpture, painting, drawing and design was the feature of the celebration. The exhibit theme was entitled A Line Through Time. The artist’s penchant for dark moody palates was the inspiration for our menu creation.
Guests were greeted with a classic vodka soda adorned with a blackberry garnish forming the artist’s signature black line that would be presented throughout the menu.
